Movie Question

Is Did You Hear About the Morgans? just For Richer or Poorer 12 years later?

Rubbish!

Did You Hear About The Morgans?. Are we really going back to this kind of film. I give it a "booo" out of ten.

An average film for the 90's lets see how it fares in 2009.

Here is the synopsis from both films from IMDB. You can decide which is which if there is any difference.

“The incredibly rich, but miserable New York couple, Brad and Caroline Sexton, got framed by their accountant, and fled from the IRS to the one place where noone would look for them: Amish country. Now they’ve got to do their best to blend in, and learn how to love all over again.”

“In New York City, an estranged couple who witness a murder are relocated to small-town Wyoming as part of a witness-protection program.”

In conclusion both Did You Hear About the Morgans? and For Richer or Poorer seem like poor excuses for a producer to invest money in and  for an audience to invest 2 hours of their time in.

I haven’t seen either of these movies. I have better things to do, like catching butterflies, or watching paint dry.

I’d probably go along to see “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” if, instead of Sarah Jessica Parker, it co-starred a black prostitute.

LOL re JP’s comment.

I remember back in 95, when the whole Hugh Grant / Divine Brown thing was big news, seeing this t-shirt w/ her infamous mugshot on it with the caption that read:

“To err is human, to forgive divine.”

I thought that was pretty funny.
